Welcome to London English Tutors
We are professional, enthusiastic and experienced English language teachers. Since 2005, we have been providing one-to-one and small-group private tuition across London. We can travel to zones 1 and 2 and can provide lessons in our flat in Russell Square, near the British museum, Zone 1 (Piccadilly Line).

Sally has been teaching English since completing the internationally recognised CELTA teaching qualification in 2002. Sally has taught in a number of language schools across London, including Bell International, CL, Twin and Frances King.
Sally has vast experience teaching multi-national students of all abilities, from beginner to proficiency. Sally also specialises in teaching exam preparation classes: IELTS, FCE, CAE and BEC (Business English Certificate).
As well as English as a foreign language, Sally also teaches children from primary school age up to preparation for the GCSE English exam.
Previous to teaching English, Sally studied psychology at Manchester University, before working as a writer for the BBC between 2000 and 2002.

Barry began his career in teaching after completing the CELTA qualification in 1997. He then went on to successfully pass the legally recognised Post Graduate Certificate in Education, enabling him to work in state and private schools within the UK.
Barry specialises in teaching exam preparation classes, particularly English GCSE and A-level. As well as these British exams, Barry has over 12 years experience getting students ready for the internationally recognised IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE examinations.
Barry graduated from Liverpool University after obtaining a first class honours in literature. Barry is also a published writer.
